Established in 2019, FAKE Art is an art magazine with a twist. The name itself is meant to be ironic and a snarky look at what the art industry hates in general --- fake art.
In an industry that is unregulated and opaque, FAKE wants to primarily focus on emerging artists and the problems they face while navigating the industry and building their individual careers. We are consciously trying to set ourselves apart from publications that only show the good bits.

FAKE is artist-led and always will be. We took a hit during Covid-19 when a lot of artists had to pull back on the workload. However, with the support of old members and new we plan on re-starting this year with the release of our third issue! If you’re an emerging artist looking to be featured, please check out our submit page. FAKE Art is currently an online only magazine. However, we’re venturing into catalogue releases in 2024 and are also participating in talks with publishers to turn it into a print magazine, especially so we’re able to pay our artists in future.
