Hello, I’m Amrita.
I write fiction and creative nonfiction. My stories explore complexities of modern relationships and cultural identity in contemporary settings, between people who are not always noticeable.I work as an Asset Manager in London, UK and when I’m not surrounded by buildings and spreadsheets, I steal time to work on my first novel. I also paint abstracts, and wax lyrical about food and travel.
I have been a contributor to The Statesman and The Nottingham Post, and worked part-time as a book designer, while in University. My work has since appeared in Hippocampus Magazine, Bridge Eight, Barely South Review, Mud Season Review, The Bangalore Mirror, TechinAsia, and The Writing Cooperative.
You can find me on Bluesky and Substack. I am also on Instagram, and can be contacted at amritadchowdhury@gmail.com.
